The 3rd Annual Day of Service gathered around 1500 SJSU students, city staff and neighborhood residents to paint homes, clean-up parks, and beautify landscapes.

CommUniverCity San José brings together the City of San José, San José State University and the communities of Five Wounds/Brookwood Terrace through service and learning. The result is a successful collaboration built around the priorities and goals of the residents, which include improving quality of life, building community, and engaging all participants in civic life.

CommUniverCity San José seeks to empower students and residents and to build community by organizing service-learning projects that address education, community health and improvements to the neighborhood environment.
